- Easy to apply and understand: When installing auto alarms or remote starter systems, you don't need to know the wire's voltage level as a multi-meter indicates, but just the polarity and if you have the multi-meters probes connected in the wrong direction, it will indicate the wrong polarity. A LED style test probe eliminates this concern and possible confusion.
